Project scope
The aim of the H2Bus project was demonstration of hydrogen powered transport in the general public, and verifying the eligibility of such a modern concept of power in the real city traffic. Although in Western Europe and other developed countries there have been already implemented similar projects successfully, this project is a unique technical concept.
Besides the integration of hydrogen fuel cell, hybrid drive solutions was developed . In addition to traditional batteries a block of supercapacitors is also involved in the system. This triple hybrid concept was an inspiration in choosing a coach business name - TriHyBus.
The first phase of the project is successfully behind us, and the real testing in city traffic conditions with passengers has been started. Bus will be operated as a regular city bus in the in the city Neratovice by Veolia Transport.
